Data Deletion

Last updated: 24 August 2026

If you'd like your data deleted from ChatPilot, operated by Wyrelane (Pty) Ltd, here's exactly how to request it and what actually happens when you do.

How to request deletion

Email us at privacy@chatpilot.co.za, or message us on WhatsApp, and let us know you'd like your account and data deleted. Include the business name and the WhatsApp number your account is registered under, so we can find and confirm the right account before removing anything.

We process deletion requests within 5 business days. This is a manual step on our side, not an instant automated process - we'll confirm with you once it's done.

What gets deleted

Requesting deletion removes, permanently and completely:

This can't be undone once it's done - there's no way for us to restore an account after deletion, so a request is treated as final.

If you connected your WhatsApp number via Facebook

Requesting deletion from us and removing ChatPilot's access to your Facebook or WhatsApp Business account are two separate things. To revoke ChatPilot's access on Meta's side directly, go to your Facebook account's Business Integrations settings and remove ChatPilot there. Doing that alone doesn't delete data already stored with us - for that, use the request process above.

If you're a customer messaging one of our clients' bots

Your conversation history is stored under the business you messaged, not under a ChatPilot account of your own. To request deletion of your own conversation, contact that business directly, or email privacy@chatpilot.co.za with the business's name and the WhatsApp number you messaged from, and we'll handle it the same way.

This page is written to plainly and accurately describe how data deletion actually works at ChatPilot today. It isn't a substitute for formal legal advice, and you may want a legal professional to review it before relying on it for your specific circumstances.
